Practicing walking in the Walker

Olivia received a walker from her Aunt Emma, so she decided to try it out. She scooted backwards a few times but no forward motion yet! She bounced it in too...she loves her bouncer. She was just enjoying the beautiful weather!

7 month pics

Here are some pictures that we had taken when Olivia turned 7 months. We were going to do it at 6 months...but the stomach virus made us push them back. Oh well...they were definately worth the wait. We're biased...as Olivia is the cutest baby!

We Did It!! Well sitting up that is...

Olivia has been practicing sitting up and wobbling over right over. However, yesterday, she sat up on her own a lot longer!! Yeah! Maybe one day we will learn to roll from our tummy to our back (she can go from back to tummy) and crawl!!! She is babbling up a storm. I think that she "talks" more than all the other kids at daycare combined. I guess that's what you get with a mom that's a speech-language therapist!!

Go Red Wings!

Sorry...it's been a while since our last post. We have been doing pretty good now that Olivia is over her almost 3 WEEK stomach virus. We had a great Mother's Day as we were able to meet my (Sarah's) family for lunch/dinner. Plus, I had a great birthday. Olivia and Frank gave me a jogging stroller, so Olivia and I can go running together this summer.

Today, we went to the Red Wings playoff hockey game. Olivia had a great time at her 1st game, especially since we sat in a suite. Hopefully, the Red Wings win next time, because we watched them lose 2-1. Go Red Wings!

Play Date

This week has been rough at the Peterson house as Olivia has been fighting a stomach virus. We're still not over with it...hopefully soon. However, we had a great last weekend as our neighbor Alex came to play with Olivia. They even held hands...thanks to mom and dad!!!

Day 5...Time to come home

On our last day, we went to the Museum of Science and Industry. Then, we stopped at a little chocolate shop and had great hot chocolate!! Although that hot chocolate almost made us miss our train home. We made it aboard with 3 minutes to spare!!! We must have been a sight with 3 suitcases, a stroller, and a baby strapped in the backpack running through Union Station!! We had an awesome trip and can't wait until the next one. Olivia enjoyed riding in the stroller, shopping, and of course all the museums!!!

Day 4 in Chicago

Grandma and Grandpa Conner came and joined the fun today!! We traveled around the city, got caught in the freezing ran, and ate some great Chicago pizza and some steak!! Plus, Olivia put on her swimsuit and went swimming with daddy for the first time. She kind of liked it...maybe she'll like it better next time.
